After using the 50-250mm telephoto lens for a number of months as my new go-to lens, I went looking for something with additional zoom. Too many animals were just far enough away that I couldn’t get a clear shot without getting close enough to scare them. I decided on a Sigma 150-600mm.

I think it’s going to take some time to really get used to, but I’ve managed a few good shots already. It’s larger and heavier than anything else I have and in general I don’t carry around a tripod.
